Pictish Beastie Volume II
Pictish Beastie Volume II is a blended whisky made from the remaining halves of the two single casks used for Volume I. A Deanston 10-year-old single malt finished for a year in a first-fill PX sherry, and a 12-year-old Cameronbridge single grain finished in an ex-GlenAllachie sherry butt for 7 months, split 50-50, and bottled at 59.2% batch strength.
- The nose offers freshly-baked vanilla cheesecake topped with toasted almonds, but this doesn't prepare you for the intense richness of the palate!
- Sweet, sticky toffee pudding combines with with zesty lemon meringue pie on the front before a looooooong finish...
- ...Gooey marshmallows, roasted pecans, singed orange peel and dark bittersweet chocolate to send you off satisfied into the sunset
